BOOK YOUR SPOT

Experience six unforgettable days where art, energy, and inspiration come together in the vibrant beauty of La Paz, Baja California Sur.

Spend your days painting, exploring, laughing, and soaking up the colorful culture and easy rhythm of Baja.

With daily watercolor sessions, optional yoga, unforgettable adventures, leisurely meals, and time to simply breathe, you'll find this a place to reset, reconnect with yourself, and immerse yourself in creativity.

This retreat isn't about being the "best" artist in the room—it's about creating in community, trying new things, and allowing yourself to enjoy the process.

It doesn't matter if you just bought your first watercolor set, or you've been painting for years—you'll be welcomed exactly as you are.

You'll return home with a sketchbook full of watercolor paintings, but you'll also carry home fresh inspiration, new perspectives, meaningful friendships, and, hopefully, the belief that you're more capable than you might have thought when you arrived.

Everything's taken care of.

Watercolor Art

You'll spend part of every day doing what you came for—painting.

You'll explore a variety of watercolor subjects inspired by Baja & beyond offered in an open, interactive environment with demonstrations, personal attention, and lots of hands-on painting time.

Along the way, you'll further your watercolor skills, discover new possibilities, and gain the confidence to make each painting uniquely your own.

Accomodation

Your home for the week will be Casa 1880, a beautifully restored boutique hotel in the heart of La Paz's historic center.

Once the city's Palace of Justice, it now offers an intimate blend of historic charm, modern comfort, exceptional hospitality, and lovely gathering spaces where our retreat community can relax, create, and connect.

Meals

Daily breakfasts and three dinners are included, giving you plenty of opportunities to gather, share stories, and enjoy wonderful local cuisine together.

It's often around the table where fellow artists become friends.

Lunches and two evenings are intentionally left open so you can discover your own favorite cafés, restaurants, and local flavors of La Paz.

Beyond the Studio

Enhance your retreat with some optional experiences that may fuel your creativity in unexpected ways.

Luisa is a certified yoga teacher and founder of Yoga Playero. Don't miss her daily morning yoga sessions on the beach, where she'll lead you through happy, heartfelt movement and mindful breathing—it's the perfect way to begin each creative day.

Dulce is a practitioner of energy clearing and numerology. She'll welcome us on opening night with a special energy clearing ceremony. Then, treat yourself to a personalized numerology session with her if you'd like to explore another fascinating way of seeing yourself and your journey.

Participate in the offerings that appeal to you.

Free Time

The retreat is thoughtfully designed with plenty of free time built into each day.

Relax by the pool after a morning of painting, stroll the Malecón, browse local shops, play with your paints, schedule an optional excursion or massage, or simply enjoy the glorious art of doing nothing.

Sometimes the moments you don't plan become the ones you remember most.

Here's what your week includes:

The Art Experience

This isn't a traditional watercolor course. Each experience builds your curiosity, confidence and creative independence—with plenty of guidance, experimentation and permission to make it your own.

ARTE COLLECTIVO — Create & Connect

Bring your individual creativity into a shared art experience celebrating all that helps advance our watercolor world.

WHAT IF? — Experiment & Discover

We start with curiosity. Play with watercolor techniques, tools and creative possibilities while discovering what happens when you give yourself permission to experiment.

LOOK AGAIN — See & Interpret

Explore new ways of looking at a subject--shape, color, value, details, and what's worth leaving out. You move beyond simply reproducing what you see toward interpreting it.

WHY NOT? — Push & Play

Try the unexpected. Experiment with approaches, materials, color choices and creative risks to find new ways of working with watercolor.

MAKE IT YOURS — Choose & Create

This is where your individual "voice" shows up. You make intentional choices, and put it all together with more creative confidence and realize there's no right or wrong way to create. There is only YOUR way!

YOU GOT THIS — Trust & Create

Put your expanded skills and instincts to work with greater freedom while still having guidance and support when you need it.

The Deets

Everything you need to know:

Excursions

Experience even more of Baja with unforgettable adventures like swimming with whale sharks, gray whale watching, or visiting Isla Espíritu Santo and Balandra.
These optional excursions are available at an additional cost and can be scheduled during your retreat.

Group Size

To keep the experience personal, the retreat is limited to a small group.
That means more conversations, more shared stories, plenty of laughter, and the kind of friendships that naturally grow from creating, exploring, and experiencing this kind of immersive retreat.

Who It's For

If you're wondering, "Am I good enough?"
The answer is yes.
If you're excited to nurture your creativity, continue learning, stay curious, and spend an inspiring week creating alongside like-hearted people, you'll fit right in. The retreat is open to all levels of experience.

Where

From vibrant murals and welcoming cafés to unforgettable sunsets and palm-lined streets, you'll find inspiration around every corner.
